Vote for Cathay Cargo in the Payload Asia Awards

Cathay Cargo nominated in two categories this year including the top prize, Global Carrier of the Year

This year marks the 10th edition of trade magazine Payload Asia’s annual Awards. This year, organisers say the Awards aim to honour ‘the industry leaders and visionary minds within the air cargo and logistics supply chain, those who continue to pioneer innovations and steer the course for the new economy’.

Last year, Cathay Cargo won Overall Carrier of the Year – Asia Pacific, but this year it has been nominated for two, so the aim is not just to retain one but also to win a second and bigger prize – the top award, Global Carrier of the Year.

Highlights in 2022 included the start of multi-modal shipments from the Cathay Cargo Terminal in Dongguan, plus the new Pharma Handling Centre at the Cathay Cargo Terminal in Hong Kong

The 2023 Payload Asia Awards follow a year in which Cathay Cargo continued to invest in and refresh its customer solutions as Hong Kong and the world opened up from the pandemic. This work included revitalised Cathay Pharma and Cathay Mail solutions, and a brick-and-mortar investment into Hong Kong’s newest pharma facility, the Pharma Handling Centre at the Cathay Cargo Terminal.

There have been digital developments on the operational front, including extending IATA’s ONE Record Standards in Hong Kong, and introducing innovative multi-modal boat shipments from the heart of the Greater Bay Area. On the commercial side there have been further enhancements to Click & Ship, and to our sustainability and offset options. All this culminated, in the year that Hong Kong retained its number one cargo hub in the world status, in the relaunch of the brand, and our first brand campaign, We Know How.

As these awards are voted for by readers, we would be very grateful for your vote.
